You say you make stock market algorithms. What do you mean by that?
A stock market algorithm is essentially a giant filter that takes inputs - things like price range, volume traded, 50/200 day moving averages, income growth year over year, business industry, etc. - and produces a list of stocks and options that meet the requirements you set. Our algorithms have an additional layer in that they will actually run simulations of trading with a virtual portfolio amount - a test run - or will allow you to auto-trade your algorithm with a real stock broker account.
Can a Stockzi algorithm short/cover stocks as well as buy/sell?
Yup, we do that.
I like to look at charts for the stocks in my portfolio. Does your program offer that?
Yes, they sure do. To see charts, just click on the ticker inside the row for that portfolio position. For an example, go to one of our current algorithms and then click a stock ticker.
I'm interested in creating an algorithm. Can you make it for me?
Wait a second, are you going to just steal my super-secret trading strategy and tell the world about it?
Our contract agreement with you establishes a confidential nondisclosure agreement in regards to your algorithm, so no, we will not. We do not share our client's trading strategies. Your strategy is your own and will stay that way if you work with us. We like what we do too much to jeopardize it by mishandling confidential information like that.
I have a brokerage account and want to get an algorithm built that will integrate directly with it? Do you guys do that?
Yes, we do! If your online broker has a trading API, then we will integrate with it. Most major online brokers now have one, and our software integrates well with any web-based API.
Where is Stockzi located?
We are located in the south-central United States in Oklahoma City, OK.
How much does an algorithm cost?
Although are costs are reasonable, it depends on several factors. For example: the complexity of the algorithm, the number of times it needs to run per day, the trading API of your broker (if any), and what type of positions (buy-only, short-only, buy/short, options included, etc.) will be entered by the algorithm are all considerations in the cost of the program. We offer one-time payment options or monthly service contracts. We also offer email-only algorithms for stock picking purposes (where the algorithm retrieves a list of stocks that meet your criteria at the time of the run).
What are these algorithms you have on your site?
The algorithms on our site are our own trading algorithms that we are currently putting through a 1-year test run in a virtual environment. The cash in the portfolio is virtual, but the stocks are real, and so are the prices that they are purchased at. They run every day, several times a day, just like yours will when you set one up! They have zero outside interference - even when we think they're crazy and we look at each other and say things like "It bought...that stock???"
What is a Stockzi Score?
A Stockzi Score is the score given from the trading algorithm for a specific stock or option. The score ranges from 0 to 100, where 0 means it doesn't meet any criteria of the trading algorithm and 100 means that it matches nearly every criteria of the trading algorithm. If a stock currently in the portfolio falls below a certain score, the algorithm will trade the stock out of the portfolio (sell/buy to cover) and then attempt to find another stock to replace it.
I don't really need a trading algorithm, but I would like someone to make me some software or an application to help me out with [a specific need] for my hedge fund/investment company.
Give us a call. Our development team is top-notch and looks forward to building [a specific need] applications for you!
